Question of Identity

Question:  Today I visited a puppeteer who owned  this old character ( late 19th century, she told me).
In fact it is a boy (with a girls wig) made of papiermaché.  Eye's can move and separately close.  I can't find a name on the stick or head.   Do you have any idea of the origin?  Thanks!  Bastiaan Verhorst
