Day 14 N/V Give-away

1996 brought even more new products from Lovik World including the very popular Talking Ties (in cooperation with Kevin Detweiler) and the Hand N' Hand Puppets.

If only there were some way to bring the Talking Ties back into production today! It's often been discussed but there are supply problems that have yet to be resolved. Of all the novelty items sold and/or produced by Maher Studios, this still ranks #1 in my mind as well as the public.

Mike Miller - you are the winner today of a set of 1995 back issues of Maher Messenger.

I still have and wear my Talking Tie and bring joy to everyone that sees it, especialy the kids on church seeing the tie singing.

I can see how a talking bowtie could be made using a coil spring inside the bowtie pulled by a string attached at each end of spring pulled toward an eyelet at middle of bowtie then on down to controller to make the two bows come together, but this has probably already been thought up and done before. Oh those talking ties! Such a grt idea. Any possibility Clinton that you might remember how the internal workings worked and you could blog some sketches? OR any possbility that owners of existing talking ties could check out the internal workings and blog sketches? OR is there someone out there who can come up with a new method and blog their ideas? I would love to have a go at making one for myself! Thanks.....

  4. I never made one myself, but I do know if I were going to try, I'd use the "slide" principle for the mouth to keep it as thin as possible.
